PURPOSE:To prevent the oxidation of a catalyst and to eliminate the clogging of the catalyst in a pump, by supplying a chemical solution for a slurry pump, which contains a surfactant, an alkali solution, sodium nitrite and mineral oil, to the catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A surfactant, an alkali solution, sodium nitrite and mineral oil are compounded to prepare a chemical solution for a slurry pump. When this chemical solution 16 for the slurry pump is used, the slurry pump 26 is prevented from receiving large load caused by the catalyst fixed to a pump impeller. Further, the withdrawal of a slurry part 18 can be performed while the oxidation of the catalyst is prevented by the mineral oil film on the catalyst and, because the alkali solution and sodium nitrite are contained, the corrosion of a tower tank can be prevented. Furthermore, because the surfactant and the alkali solution are contained, the oxidation of the catalyst can be prevented over a long period of time. |
