PURPOSE:To improve light fastness of a magenta dye image by incorporating a specified dye forming coupler and a specified compd. in a photographic sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The magenta dye forming coupler to be used in an amt. of 1.5X10<-3>-7.5X10<-1>mol per mol of silver halide is represented by formula I (Z being a nonmetallic atomic group necessary for forming an N-contg. option ally substd. hetero ring, X being H or a group to be released by the coupling reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent, and R being H or a substituent), and the compd. to be used for stabilizing a magenta dye image in an amt. of 5-300mol% of said coupler is represented by formula II, each of R1-R3 being H, halogen, alkyl, alkenyl, hydroxy, aryl, acyl, acyamino, acyloxy, sulfonamide, cycloalkyl, alkoxycarbonyl, or the like, thus permitting image fastness to be improved. |
