PURPOSE:The titled apparatus, equipped with a temperature detector in a laver drying chamber, variable steam quantity-type steam generation part, exhaust fan and controller for steam quantity and air flow rate of the exhaust fan, and capable of uniforming the temperature in the laver drying chamber and reducing defective laver sheets. CONSTITUTION:A humidity adjusting apparatus equipped with temperature detectors 15 for measuring the temperature of a laver drying chamber 14 for drying each laver sheet 12 while passing each reed screen 13 with the laver sheet 12 through two upper and lower stages in the horizontal direction, variable steam quantity-type steam generation part 18 for generating steam and feeding a given quantity of the steam into the above-mentioned laver drying chamber 14, variable air flow rate-type steam jet nozzles 19, variable air flow rate-type exhaust fan 11 and controller 121 adjusting the air flow rate of the exhaust fan 11 and steam quantity of the steam generation part 18 on the basis of output from the temperature detectors 15 as an input to control the temperature of the laver drying chamber 14 at an almost constant value in laver drying equipment 10 having the laver drying chamber 14 and a heat exchange chamber 20, connected to the above-mentioned laver drying chamber 14 through a ventilation hole (16a), and having a heat generation source 16 and blowing fan 17 provided therein. |
