PURPOSE:To allocate securely a specified area in the main storage device to a different purpose by moving a part of the process, etc. existing in said area to some other area. CONSTITUTION:An operation processing device 2a suspends the access of respec tive processing device 2a or 3 to the main storage device 1a and 1b, and moves the content of the already-allocated area remaining in the device 1b to the device 1a. The content is moved to the lowest allocation area of the device 1a, and the address storing area 7 of a page table 4 is modified so that it specifies the designation area of the moving. When the table 4 itself is moved, the address storing area 8 of a section 5 or that 9 of a table register 6 is further modified to specify said destination area. Also, when the table 4 is moved, the area 9 of the register 6 is modified in order to specify the destination of the device 1a. As a result, the specified area in the main storage device can securely be allocated to some other purpose.
