PURPOSE:To reduce a stopping distance on braking by installing a hydraulic pressure adjusting device and a solenoid valve in the piping of each system of two system X-piping and constituting a modulator, and allowing front wheels in which the progress of locking is the quickest of all wheels, to be locked. CONSTITUTION:In the captioned device which has two system X-piping and in which proportioning valves 33, 34 are installed midway in the rear wheel side hydraulic piping of each system, a hydraulic pressure adjusting device 6, 7 are provided in the piping of each of the systems. Solenoid valves 25, 26 for shiftingly adjusting the pressure of high pressure chambers 16, 17 of the devices 6, 7 in the case of maintaining, or in the case of reducing the pressure, are provided on the devices 6, 7 respectively, and the valves 25, 26 and the devices 6, 7 constitute a modulator 27. And, basically, when all of wheels are detected to be in a condition immediately before locking, hydraulic pressure in a piping of a system to which said wheels belong, is reduced and, when wheels in which progress of locking is the quickest, are front wheels, a control part 32 controls so as to allow the locking of the wheels. |
