PURPOSE:To obtain the titled optical fiber bundle which conforms well to an optical fiber of glass, has an excellent impregnating ability, a good workability and a large strendth, and can be manufactured easily, by using a silicon alkoxide compound, as a substance for reinforcing the vicinity of a boundary of a fixed part and a flexible part of the optical fiber bundle. CONSTITUTION:In an optical fiber bundle 12 in which a fixed part 11a is formed by fixing as one body the end parts of plural optical fiber bundles 12, and its intermediate part is a flexible part 12a, a silicon alkoxide compound us used, as a substance 6 for reinforcing the part of a boundary 13 of the fixed part 11a and the flexible part 12a of the optical fiber bundle 12.
