Cleaning apparatus for drink tapping systems in the form of a slide valve having a casing which is rectangular in cross-section, is connected at the top to a drink pipe leading to the tapping cock, at the bottom to a drink pipe leading to the barrel and also at the bottom to the water pipe, and has at the top a magazine for spherical, elastic and porous cleaning bodies which are over-sized in relation to the drink pipes. The casing receives in a rotatable fashion a two-part slide with a passage channel for the drink pipes and a central cylindrical recess with a ball-like extension having an upper and a lower outlet aperture and a shape-adjusted switching body which is situated in the latter and has an end ball with a blind bore and a central bore with a transverse bore, so that longitudinal displacement brings the slide into the tapping or cleaning position, the drink pipes being connected and the end ball under the magazine receiving a cleaning body in the tapping position, while in the cleaning position, according to the position into which the switching body has been rotated, one of the drink pipes of the blind bore is situated opposite the end ball, which is connected to the water pipe and drives the cleaning body through the pipe.
