The clutch release bearing comprises, in conventional fashion, a sleeve 1 made from moulded material with a radial flange 11 at one end, a roller-contact bearing 2 with a rotating race 21 ending in a leading nose 22 for the clutch mechanism, and a non-rotating race 23 with a radial edge 24 which comes to bear on the non-terminal face 11a of the flange 11, and a support plate 3, the assembly being completed by an elastic clamping means 4. This clamping means comprises hooking lugs 41 for the roller-contact bearing edge 24 and 42 for the support plate 3, equipped respectively with tips 41a and 42a. These hooking lugs are distributed angularly alternating at the periphery of a corrugated ring 40 with elastic deformation, so that the clamping action on the flange is exerted directly between the roller-contact bearing and the support plate, the elastic washer 40 being housed in the volume of the flange 11. <IMAGE>
