摘要 PURPOSE:To discriminate a guide band with higher accuracy by setting a guide belt onto the driving floor surface for an unmanned traveling object with a light output angle different from a light input angle to the floor surface and providing a projector and a photodetector to the traveling object in response to said angles. CONSTITUTION:A guide matter 5 such as a recurrent reflective tape, etc. having a light reflecting angle different from a floor surface 4 is provided on the surface 4. The guide band detectors 6 containing projectors 62 and phtodetectors 63 respectively are set on an unmanned truck 1 at its front and rear sides. Then the truck 1 travels on the matter 5. In a normal drive mode he light beams M and N delivered from projectors of guide matter detectors 6R and 6L hit a recurrent reflective tape 5 and reflected in the same direction as the incident direction. These reflected beams are detected by the photodetectors respectively. In case the truck 1 gets out of its normal route, the beam N is reflected in a different direction on the floor 4 as a reflected beam N''. Then the detection of this beam N'' is impossible at the photodetecting part of the detector 6R. Thus it is recognized that the truck 1 gets out of its normal route.
