The spiral (helical) link belt displays a multiplicity of plastic spirals (helices), the loops of which inter-penetrate in zip-fastener fashion, as well as of inserts (wire pins) (2) which lock the spirals (helices) (1). The loops of the spirals (helices) (1) penetrate into the material of the inserts (wire pins) (2). The depth of penetration is about equal to the diameter of the material forming the spirals (helices) (1). To achieve this increased depth of penetration, profile-sectioned inserts (wire pins) (2) having tongues (3) protruding in the opposite direction or inserts (wire pins) having a material hardness which decreases from inside to the outside, are used. <IMAGE> |
