Device for adjusting the compression ratio of an internal combustion engine. The invention relates to a device enabling the compression ratio of an internal combustion engine to be rapidly adjusted, so as to allow it to function using various types of fuel. It comprises a body 1 having a combustion chamber 2 into which the adjusting plug 3 is screwed. A port 4 connects the chamber 2 to that of the engine cylinder 5. By the simple action of screwing or unscrewing the adjusting plug 3 the volume of the chamber is decreased or increased, thereby permitting adjustment of the compression ratio. The device according to the invention is intended especially for control of the compression ratio of internal combustion engines. <IMAGE>
