PURPOSE:To increase the output of a low-frequency ultrasonic wave by placing an active pole between two couplers coupling two convex shells. CONSTITUTION:A neck 32 formed at both ends of the active pole 31 made of a piezoelectric ceramic is supported by a coupler 33. The inner diameter of the coupler 33 is selected to the larger than the outer diameter of the neck 32. The coupler 33 is coupled with the two convex shells 34, the shells 34 are made of a steel alloy, and the size is selected as 30cm for the X axis 2a and nearly 12cm for the Y axis 2b. The expansion/contraction of the active pole in the X axis is delivered to the convex shell 34 via the neck 32 and the coupler and converted into the Y axis to expand the amplitude. Thus, the low frequency transmitter with small size, light weight and excellent high power characteristic is constituted.
