PURPOSE:To simplify a mechanism which holds and fixes a pallet storing a recording medium at a prescribed position, by using a cam mechanism which moves up and down a pallet support member and interlocks it. CONSTITUTION:A conveyor belt 103 move up with the rotary control of a motor 96, and a pallet 2 storing a separator and a floppy medium put on each other is sent to the belt 103 from a conveyor belt 50. The pallet 2 stops at a position where the tip of the pallet 2 hooks a stopper 122. Then the motor 96 works to move a pallet hopper 90 up to the prescribed height. The hopper 90 contains a rotatable clamp pawl 124 and a knocking piece 125 forming a cam mechanism. The pawl 124 interlocks the knocking piece 125 and turns clockwise, and the inner surface of a hole 130 formed on the bottom surface of the pallet 2 interlocks the pawl part of the pawl 124. Thus the pallet 2 is pressed to the stopper 122 and positioned at its feed position.
