PURPOSE:To control the level over a wide range beyond the dynamic range of a detector by inserting a level converter different from an output control signal to an output of a directional coupler extracting a part of an output of power amplifier module. CONSTITUTION:The directional coupler 5 extracts a part of the transmission output and inputs the result to a level converter 8. A control voltage generator 9 generates N kinds of different voltages depending on the output control signal, the voltages control the level converter 8 to attenuate or amplify the output of the directional coupler 5. The voltage obtained from a constant voltage generator 11 is inputted to a control section 12 in response to the output control signal, and when the detected voltage is large, the output of the control section 12 is decreased, and when the detected voltage is small, the output of the control section 12 is increased so as to obtain a prescribed transmission output in response to the output control voltage signal.
