<p>A prefabricated abutment of precise size, shape and dimensions is fixed in a patient's jawbone, as the suproging- ival part of an endodontic post (10), or an implant, for example. The post (10) is used in combination with a prefabricated sleeve-like coping (16) which is telescopically mated to the post (10) with a high degree of dimensional precision. A finished crown (20) is fixed rigidly to such a coping (16), or replicates its internal dimensions, so as to use the post (10) as tis support.</p> |
