PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF META-CHLOROANILINES

A process for the preparation of meta-chloro-anilines wherein polychloroanilines containing at least one chlorine atom in the meta position are reacted with hydrogen iodide in an aqueous or organic medium at a temperature of between 90 and 250.degree.C is described. The meta-chloroanilines obtained are of use as intermediates in the manufacture of agrochemical products.
