PURPOSE:To reduce the influence of streaking, etc., by fitting grating stripes which consists of transmitted and nontransmission surfaces to an image formation optical system, making picture elements of a reproduced image, and correcting the sensitivity of a detecting element array. CONSTITUTION:For example, a picture element D2 is reflected by a scanning mirror 3 at some moment and passes through a transmission surface a2 of grating stripes which move in synchronism with the scanning mirror 3 to form its whole image on the detecting element 6. In this case, the scanning mirror 3 rotates and the picture element moves from D2 to D3. Consequently, the optical path passing through the grating stripes 5 also moves from a2 to a3. A nontransmission surface a3 of the grating stripes 5, on the other hand, does not transmit incident light, so light forming the image on the array 6 is only light radiated from the picture element D2. The scanning mirror 3 further rotates and when the visual field of the array 6 coincides with the nontransmission surface a3 of the grating stripes 5, each detecting element faces the nontransmission surface a3 with uniform temperature, so the sensitivity of the array 6 is corrected by controlling it so that respective outputs become equal. Further, streaking due to the response speed of the detecting elements is released during the period.
