PURPOSE:To prevent a thread end from being drawn in a bobbin during winding, by a method wherein, after a rotation speed is decreased to the specified number of revolutions, brake is rendered uneffective, and low speed rotation is continued to a point of a time right before replacement of a thread winding bobbin with other bobbin. CONSTITUTION:After a thread is shifted to a new bobbin 5 and winding is started through a twilling mechanism 1, when the surface speed of a thread winding bobbin 4', in which winding of thread is completed, is increased to a specified rotation speed, brake is rendered uneffective, low speed rotation is continued to a point of time right before replacement of a bobbin. This prevents a thread end Y' of a thread winding bobbin 4' from sagging, and even if it sags, the thread is always stretched in a winding direction through low rotation in a direction C of the thread winding bobbin 4', and the sagging is eliminated in a short time. This prevents the thread end Y' from being drawn in resulting from contact of the thread end with the bobbin 5 under winding of a thread, resulting in reduction of the frequency of suspension of operation. Further, since a thread is prevented from being unwound from the thread winding bobbin 4', quality and winding quantity are stabilized, and working efficiency and productivity are improved. |
