PURPOSE:The titled composition having improved liquid properties without losing merits of long-chain alcohol, containing a sulfate of a specific long-chain alcohol, an adduct of the alcohol with an alkylene oxide and/or its sulfate. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition which has no unpleasant squeaking phenomena during hair washing, provides good finish with feeling of moisture, omits or simplifies rinse treatment after hair washing, and has improved liquid properties, containing one or more selected from a sulfate of mainly 16-20C saturated or unsaturated alcohol, an adduct of the alcohol with an alkylene oxide, and its sulfate. The blend is used with a short-chained alcohol sulfate, etc., and can raise synergistically solubility without losing merits of both the components, and in that case, the blending ratio of the long-chain alcohol derivative is >=10wt%, preferably >=20wt% base on the total active component.
