A display stand comprises a bookshelf-like unit (1), which is made of a single cardboard material, with several shelves, each of which has a downward directed component (3), connects with the front component of the unit and has an inner section that is detachably connected to the rear of the unit (6). In this invention, the unit (1) has side components (5) that have a reduced width between the shelves (2) due to notches. The shelves extend to the side components and have leading components (3', 20') that are aimed down and are perpendicular to the shelves on the back and sides. The components extending from the shelf side lie against the insides of the side components (5) and those situated on the back of the shelf to fix it in the desired position can be inserted in a slotted component on the back of the unit.
