PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation generated in an electrode or the like by interposing an expansion absorber which is machined to have flexibility when connecting the electrode of an electron gun structure to the lead pin provided in the stem of a cylindrical bulb by the use of a metal connector. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic focusing type image pickup tube and the like is formed by positioning an electron gun structure 5 within a cylindrical glass bulb 1 having a target 2 which carries out photoelectric conversion, and connecting the electrode or the like of the electron gun structure to the lead pin 3 provided in a stem 4. At this time, an expansion absorber 15a which is obtained by machining a non-magnetic material of stainless steel or the like to a U-shape or the like to have flexibility is interposed between a grid 12 or the like and a connector 14a having a bending raising portion 24 for connecting to the lead pin 3, and the grid 12 and the connector 14a are connected by welding or the like. And the expansion and the contraction of the connector 14a due to heating in sealing the bulb 1 and the stem 4 is absorbed in the expansion absorber 15a. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the generation of distortion in the electrode or the like and to eliminate the contact accident. |
