PURPOSE:To simplify constitution and to enhance the accuracy of a gauge ratio, by providing the pillar fixed to a base at one end thereof, the wt. fixed to the free end side of said pillar and at least three vibration beams provided around the pillar at equal internals. CONSTITUTION:An accelerometer 1 has a base 1 having a protruded cross-section having large and small diameter parts and a columnar pillar 2 is fixed to the center of the small diameter part so as to be vertical to the base 1 and cylindrical wt. 3 is fixed to the free end side of said pillar 2. Rectangular notched plate shaped vibration beams 7a, 7b, 7c are fixed to the small diameter part of the base 1 and the outer periphery of the wt. 3 at both ends thereof in parallel to the pillar at equal internals. If the piezoelectric elements adhered to the vibration beams 7a, 7b, 7c are connected to an exciting amplifier through terminals 10a, 10b, 10c, the vibration beams 7a, 7b, 7c receive compression or tensile force and, from the relation between the strain and inherent vibration frequency of th vibration beams, acceleration in a three-axis direction can be calculated in a high gauge ratio with good accuracy by a simple structure. |
