PURPOSE:To manufacture a pipe having a composite structure including an outer layer of a desired material by forming a metal-ceramic composite rough pipe by a thermit reaction in a lining mold, taking out the rough pipe, inserting it in a sheathing pipe with a filler in-between, and integrating the pipes body. CONSTITUTION:A lining mold 6 having a heat resistant mold releasing layer 7 on the inside is rotated at a low speed, and a thermit agent 8 consisting of a metallic oxide and a metallic reducing agent is spread on the inside of the mold 6. The mold 6 is then rotated at a high speed, the thermit agent 8 is ignited to produce a molten metal and molten ceramics by a thermit reaction, and a metallic layer 3 and a ceramic layer 4 are formed as one body on the inside of the layer 7 by the difference in specific gravity to obtain a composite rough pipe 9 which can be easily taken out of the mold 6. The pipe 9 is taken out and inserted concentrically in a sheathing pipe 10, a filler 11 is filled into the space between the pipes 10, 9, and they are integrated to obtain a pipe having a composite structure. |
