PURPOSE:To use magnetic disk effectively and efficiently and to shorten an input time by performing the reconstitution of a magnetic disk device. CONSTITUTION:In-use area control information that an area control system has is inputted by an in-use area control information input part 11 to generate a table containing file names 21, area start addresses 22, and area end addresses 23. The area start addresses 22 are used as key to classify the table by a table generating part 12 for reconstitution, generating a table format 31. Reconstitution processing is performed by a reconstitution processing part 13 on the basis of the table to obtain a table format 32 eventually, and this table format 32 is a new in-use are control information table.
