PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent reduction treatment and to maintain a reduction property of the titled composition to constant in spite of a lapse of period from the image formation to the reduction by incorporating an active ray absorbent, a light initiator, a polymeriable monomer and a polymer binder contg. a specific group to the titled composition. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition contains the active ray absorbent, the light initiator, the polymerizable monomer and the polymer binder contg. one or more kinds of a carboxylic acid, a sulfonic acid or a phosphoric acid. Said acid group contained in the polymer binder forms a salt with 0.01-0.5 equivalent of an alkaline and/or an alkaline earth metal per one equivalent of said acid. The partial salt formation in the acid group contained in the polymer binder acts to stabilize the reduction of the image reproducing material, and is liable to a permeation of an alkaline solution of the reducer, and also, improves the reducing treatment due to a sponge and a writing brush. The reduction property of the titled composition is maintained to the constant, notwithstanding the lapse of the periods from the image formation to the reduction, and a rapid reducing treatment becomes possible. The titled composition has a fitness for various kinds of rewriting materials and a light sensitivity suitable to the image reproducing material and has not effect upon the shelf life and does not lower the resolution. |
