Use of graphite as an additive for modelling plastics, a modelling material, and mould polishing process

The use of graphite as an additive for modelling plastics and modelling materials allows increased efficiency in mould polishing. The use of, preferably, from 30 to 85% by weight of graphite in curable synthetic resin allows the production of materials which can be readily machined, have low-stress, even after curing, and have advantageous surface characteristics. Recycling of graphite materials produced in the production of spark erosion electrodes for formulating the substances allows an increase in the efficiency of the overall course of the mould polishing process.
