Preloadable double nut for ball screws with two part-nuts which are connected to one another for rotation at their mutually facing ends, an end toothing, into which an anti-rotation safeguard engages, being arranged on the facing end regions of the part-nuts. The construction of a double nut of this kind is simplified and improved in its adjustability and maintenance of the preload by the fact that the anti-rotation safeguard consists of a connecting piece extending over at least part of the circumference of the end toothings, which connecting piece is arranged in the gap between the end toothings of the preloaded part-nuts. <IMAGE>
