The lower tool has a carriage rotatably disposed within a lower tool body. The connector comprises an adaptor housing rotationally secured to the output of the upper tool. The adaptor housing is axially secured to the lower tool body at a circumference of the adaptor housing. A driven head is axially and rotationally secured to the adaptor housing, but can be removed from the housing during disassembly. The driven head is disposed within the circumference at which the lower tool body is secured to the adaptor housing. The driven head and carriage are each provided with mating contours such that the driven head and the housing can be rotationally interconnected. The rotational output of the upper tool is transmitted to the adaptor housing, to the driven head, then to the carriage.
