PURPOSE:To reduce a backlash between bevel gears by joining a journal joint with a hub to produce a reaction torque between the bevel gears. CONSTITUTION:When a transmission torque below a reaction torque is applied to a primary transmission shaft 21, a transmission torque produced by the primary transmission shaft 21 is transmitted from a primary bevel gear 31 to the secondary transmission shaft 25 via a secondary bevel gear 35 in accordance with the direction of the transmission torque. If the transmission torque to be transmitted to the primary transmission shaft 21 is over the reaction torque, the transmission torque will be transmitted from the primary transmission shaft 21 to the secondary transmission shaft 25 via both the bevel gears 35 and 45. Where the transmission torque is transmitted from the secondary transmission shaft 25 to the primary transmission shaft 21, the transmission direction will be reversed. The reaction torque is therefore applied between both the bevel gears so that a backlash between the gears can be dissipated.
