摘要 PURPOSE:To enable the detection of flaws on a partially deformed cylinder, by dividing a sensor and a guidance unit into sector segments so as to let abnormally deviated radius section of a sample pass. CONSTITUTION:A guidance unit and a sensor are divided into four sets (equivalent to the number of sensors) of hollow segments 41a-41d each with a sector-shaped section and roller conveyors 42a-42d are set to guide a sample T at a specified speed. Moreover, fluid positioners 43a-43d are set to move the segment involved outward when the surface having an abnormally deviated radius of the sample T passes through the equipment. When the deviated radius of the sample T is smaller than an allowable value, a flaw detector detects flaws with the continued rotation thereof though the value is below the reference. Only when the portion with the abnormally deviated radius exceeding the allowable value passes through the flaw detector, the flaw detector stops the rotation and makes the effective sectional area of the hollow part for passing the sample T thereof so larger to allow the passage thereof. Then, the portion having required no flaw detection is made clear by marking the cylinder surface corresponding to the abnormally deviated radius or memorizing the portion into a controller.
