This is a clamping ring with a pivotable closure lever. The technical problem is to provide a clamping ring whose closure lever is pivotable perpendicular to the radial plane of the clamping ring in a tangential plane to the outer surface of the container. A pivot (5, 6) is provided at each end (3, 4) of the clamping ring (1). Each pivot (5, 6) engages in a receiver of the closure lever (2).
