The process messages to be evaluated in the microcomputer (MC) are logically combined with one command each before their input into an input register (ER) of the microcomputer. For the logic operation, discrete EXOR elements (EOI) are provided, to the inputs of which the potentials of input and output switching means (MI, KI) are applied. From the output signals of the EXOR elements (EOI), supplied to it via the input register (ER), the microcomputer determines the original messages of the input switching means (MI) by another logical EXOR operation with the respective commands. In a test mode, the commands are inverted for a short time and a test is made to establish whether the messages transmitted back, subjected to a double logical EXOR operation, correspond to the messages previously transmitted. During this process, all command and message status combinations of the registers (ER, AR) are sequenced. <IMAGE> |
