PURPOSE:To project light emitted from a scintillator upon a photodetector efficiently by coating the surface of the solid-state scintillator with a light reflecting material to a prescribed thickness by a screen printing coating method. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a solid-state scintillator is coated with a light reflecting material to a 50-150mum thickness by a screen printing coating method to obtain a scintillator for radiation detection. When the thickness of said light reflecting material is <=50mum, the light emission output of the scintillator decreases below 90 in terms of the quantity of light to fail in efficient projection on a photodetector, and the light reflecting material is easy to peel off. When the thickness is >=150mum, the thickness of the light reflecting material has variance and becomes uneven, and the total size precision of the scintillator including the light reflecting member is inferior and is hardly incorporated in a device. |
