PURPOSE:To apply rust preventing coating on an exposed section of a precoated steel plate by transporting the precoated steel plate with a conveyor with the precoated layer to be treated faced downward and spraying a paint from an ejection nozzle supported by a rotary shaft installed to the conveyor. CONSTITUTION:After shearing or drilling a precoated steel plate 1, the plate is transported with a conveyor 8 with the precoated surface 3 faced downward. A nozzle turning device 10 is installed above the conveyor 8, to which ejection nozzles 15 are attached to the ends of arms 13 extended from the rotary shaft 12. The ejection nozzles 15 are swirled to spray paint from obliquely above and from all sides of the steel plate 1. Thus, the paint is applied to the unprecoated face and the sheared edge of the steel plate. Thus, rust preventing coating of the sheared face is permitted, so the use of the precoated steel plate is expanded remarkably.
