PURPOSE:To preserve the natural environment by reducing the concn. of sewage, by providing a pump to an underground container and keeping purification function constant regardless of the large variation of sewage. CONSTITUTION:Sewage is supplied into a tank 4 and a part thereof gradually flows through a conical net 11 through a pump 6, a pipe 8 and an ejector 9 to be discharged from a pipe 13 and a tank 22 while the residual part is returned to the tank 4 without flowing through the net 11. At this time, the flow amount of sewage to two orifices 14, 14' and a pipe 3 is limited to an approximate value equal to or more than the timewise average value of the amount/a day of sewage supplied to the tank 4 and sewage is recirculated through a pipe 12 in the excessive and sufficient flow amount by the pump 6. Sufficient air is mixed in flowing sewage in a fine air bubble state from a suction pipe 10 by ejector effect and the recirculated stream from an opening 15 is scattered to a film plate 5 by a net 16 to be subjected to contact oxidation. The film sent by the pump 6 is collected and received in a squirrel cage shaped net 16.
