<p>The spanner, with a connector at one end so that different sockets can be fitted, has a hollow handle at the other end housing a torque measuring element which can also be combined with a torque indicator. The torque measuring element uses two pivot levers, one acting against the other, housed inside the handle. - An extension of the stem of the tool has a projection for a spindle forming the pivot axis for the first lever and a knife edge forming a pivot for the second lever. The outer end of the second arm is stopped by a knife edge inside the handle and its inner end has a knife edge for the first pivot lever. The other end of the first lever is supported between an upper knife edge on the handle and a lower knife edge on a resilient sensing arm projecting from the stem extension near the first pivot axis.</p> |
