PURPOSE:To allow a sea base station to collect surely a measuring data measured by a measuring device by providing a data sampling means making correspondence with a measuring device installed at a sea bottom and receiving/ storing an ultrasonic wave signal based on the measuring data transmitted from the measuring device. CONSTITUTION:The data sampling means 10 transmits a reception confirming signal having a low carrier frequency of nearly 10kHz toward a sea from a transducer 16 at the start and end of the reception of an ultrasonic wave signal from a measured device 2. The reception confirming signal is received by a reception transducer 24 of a reception confirming means 20 and transmitted to a receiver 26 via a transmission cable 22. When the reception confirming signal from the means 10 is received, the receiver 26 transmits the reception sound and data transmission from the device 2 to the means 10 is confirmed. When the measured data is stored in the main in the means 10, the means 10 and the transducer 24 are collected in a ship 8, where the measured data stored in the means 10 is reproduced and subject to signal processing.
