<p>A housing for a cable supply device, particularly for the connection cable (13) of a central supply system of an aircraft mains in airports having a cable connection point on the passenger deck (gate) or adjacent thereto comprises a double cable drum (6) with a useful drum (11) for a useful cable (14) and a compensator drum (10) coaxial to the first drum for a compensator cable (12), as well as a drive for both rotation directions of the drum. A reduction of the total length of the connection cable is obtained by superposing a translational motion to the rotational motion of the double drum (6). The double drum (6) is longitudinally displaced by the same distance as the length of unwound or wound cable or while the useful cable (14) is unwound or wound.</p> |
