An electrosurgical instrument comprises a casing (3) and coaxial passive (2) and active (1) electrodes of which the passive one (2) is external and is connected with the casing (3), whereas the active one (1) is mounted in the center with the possibility of its displacement in relation to the passive electrode (2). The instrument is provided with a drive and with a device for cleaning the caking from the active electrode, which is mounted between the electrodes and consists of an insertion made of an insulating material and shaped as a spherule (8) provided with a through opening of a diameter equal to the diameter of the active electrode (1) which passes through that opening. The active electrode (1) is rigidly connected to the drive so as to ensure its movement in relation to the opening.
