PURPOSE:To improve strength of a joining part of a sidesill to a pillar by joining the sidesill and the lower part of the pillar by a reinforce and further forming the reinforce partition-like. CONSTITUTION:The lower part of a front pillar 1 is joined to the front end part of a sidesill 2, and the first reinforce 10 is provided between these two parts. Further, the nearly rectangular second reinforce 17 is provided so as to extend over upper and lower flanges 11, 12 of the sidesill 2. The first and the second reinforces 10, 17 are arranged so as to be interposed between an outer panel 2a and an inner panel 2b of the sidesill 2. Furthermore, the partition- shaped third reinforce 20 is provided between the outer panel 2a of the sidesill 2 and the first, second reinforces 10, 17. Load which works on the pillar 1 from a suspension are dispersedly transmitted to the sidesill 2 through these reinforces, therefore, bending deformation of the joining part S is prevented. |
