PURPOSE:To prevent internal short circuit by connecting a negative electrode and a positive electrode of unit cell with a conductive substrate interposed and embedding a net-like separator on the reaction surface of the negative electrode so as to protrude its part. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode 1, a net-like separator 2' a conductive substrate 3, a positive electrode 4 are bonded together. The separator 2' is embedded in the negative electrode so that its part is protruded from the reaction surface of the negative electrode. The plurality of unit groups are stacked and accommodated in a battery case. A space between the negative electrode 1 and positive electrode 4 adjacent to the protruded part of the separator 2' forms an electrolyte flow passage. The lithium negative electrode is covered with an aluminum film 1' to prevent the formation of lithium hydroxide caused by reaction with moisture in the air. Internal short circuit in use is prevented and storage life is increased. |
