PURPOSE:To prevent dust explosion when the safety valve of a container actuates by connecting a hydrogen storage alloy container to a vacuum tank which is placed in a cooling bath serially with a pump and valves. CONSTITUTION:A container 10 which contains hydrogen storage alloy M is equipped with a hydrogen gas discharge pipe L1 which is connected to a vacuum tank 2 placed in a cooling bath 3 via a valve V1 and pump P1. With such a configuration, when the temperature and pressure in the container rise, hydrogen gas and the hydrogen storage alloy in the form of powder in the container can be transferred to the low temperature vacuum tank by opening the valves V1a and V1b and running the pump P1, thus a dust explosion being prevented. |
