PURPOSE:To provide a recording head assembly having simple constitution such that a supply roll for supplying an ink sheet for an ink jet printer, the ink storage chamber for receiving said roll, an ink sheet take-up roll, the receiving chamber for receiving said take-up roll and a recording head are united. CONSTITUTION:In an ink sheet type ink jet printer for flying the ink 40 received in a large number of minute apertures 55 of an ink sheet 35 to recording paper 50 by a recording head 36, the belt like ink sheet 35 is wound around the supply roll 3 in an ink storage chamber 41 and one end thereof is wound around the take-up roll 34 in a belt receiving chamber 42 from the upper opening 45 of the ink storage chamber 41 through the recording head 36. A recording head assembly 31 is formed of the ink storage chamber 41, the belt receiving chamber 42, the recording head 36 and both rolls 33, 34 and made movable to a sub- scanning direction. |
