PURPOSE:To perform reliable control of a slip, by providing a stationary orifice opening correcting means which alters the opening of a stationary orifice which decides a lockup control pressure through detection of the temperature of working oil for torque converter. CONSTITUTION:In a torque converter 1 comprising a pump impeller 2, a turbine runner 3, and a stator 4, a stationary orifice opening altering valve 28 serving as a correcting means for the opening of a stationary orifice 26 adapted to decide a lockup control pressure is provided. A signal from an oil temperature sensor 38 is converted into a pressure, responding to an oil temperature, by means of a pressure-responding-to-oil-temperature generating circuit 32 to control the stationary orifice opening altering valve 28. This enables prevention of production of a change in a slip control pressure due to a change in an oil temperature. |
