PURPOSE:To add or change a code conversion table without correcting a program, by separating the code conversion table from the program and storing the table in a file. CONSTITUTION:The name of a code conversion table is inputted from the keyboard of a CRT device 26 with keyboard, Then the inputted name is read into a code conversion file area 27 stored in an output file area 30. When, for example, a name 'JISTOEB' is designated, the file 27 is retrieved with the name 'JISTOEB' and the conversion table from a JIS code to BECDIC code is read into the file area 30. Then a data file implemented with the JIS code is inputted from a file area 28 and the JIS data are converted into the EBCDIC code by using the code conversion table stored in the file area 30. Then the converted data are outputted to a file area 29. |
