PURPOSE:To inspect the presence of the cutting of a conductor, by measuring the dimension of a conductor part in the longitudinal and lateral directions thereof on the basis of the image data obtained by picking up the image of the terminal part of an electric wire, of which the cover was peeled off, prior to terminal press bonding to compare the same with a tolerant dimension. CONSTITUTION:When one terminal of an electric wire, of which the conductors were entirely or partially cut when a cover was peeled off by a wire stripper, reached the position opposed to a stroboscopic light source 8 and a television camera 8b by the revolution of an arm 3, said terminal is detected by a photosensor 8c and a light source 8a emits light and the camera 8b picks up the image of the terminal of the electric wire and stationary image data is taken in RAM10. CPU11 reads the image data from RAM10 to calculate the dimension of a conductor part in the longitudinal and lateral directions thereof. Next, a tolerant dimension is read from ROM12 and, when the measured value is smaller than the tolerant value, inferiority is judged. By this method, the presence of the cutting of the conductor of the terminal press bonded part can be certainly detected prior to terminal press bonding by simple constitution. |
