PURPOSE:An attractants against insect pests in Hylemya that contains, as attracts, propionic acid, n-butyric acid, i-butyric acid, n-valeric acid, i-valeric acid or i-caproic acid or a combination thereof with 2-phenylethanol. CONSTITUTION:The objective attractant is used to attract adult males and females and larvae of insect pests in Hylemya such as Hylemya platura or Hylemya antique and know the breeding incidence or to attract a large number of the insects for killing. The active ingredient for the attractant is at least one selected from propionic acid, n-butyric acid, i-butyric acid, n-valeric acid, i-valeric acid and i-caproic acid or their mixture or a combination thereof with 2-phenylethanol. The combination of 2-phenylethanol with n-caproic acid shows especially excellent attractant force.
