4-(N-(3',4'-dihydroxybenzylidene) aminomethyl) cyclohexane-1- carboxylic acid or its salts or esters having the formula(I) are prepd. bfy reacting 3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde of formula (II) with 4- aminomethyl-cyclohexane-1-carboxylic acid or its esters of formula (III). The cyclohexane ring includes the trans- and cis-forms. (I) are effective against inflammation, thrombosis, hypertension, asthma, cancer, etc.
