<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the use amount of an adsorbent, by passing waste gas through a moving bed comprising a carbonaceous adsorbent and using an activated adsorbent or a mixture of said adsorbent and a partially non-activated adsorbent in early stage packing while using a non-activated adsorbent in replenishment. CONSTITUTION:Waste gas 1 passes a first moving bed 4, which received the addition of NH3 3' and consists of an activated carbonaceous adsorbent and a non-activated carbonaceous adsorbent so as to cross the same at right angles to remove the greater part of SOx and a slight amount of NOx and the treated gas is passed through a second moving bed 5, to which NH3 was added, so as to cross the same at right angles to remove NOx. The carbonaceous adsorb ent 2 passes the first moving bed after passed through the second moving bed and reactivated by a regeneration tower 6 to be again recirculated to the second moving bed. At the beginning of the operation, the activated carbonaceous adsorbent in a storage tank 8 or a mixture of said adsorbent and the non- activated carbonaceous adsorbent in a storage tank 8 is replenished but, after the beginning of recirculation, only the non-activated carbonaceous adsorbent is replenished from the storage tank 8.</p> |
