The invention relates to swimming pools made of flexible and waterproof canvas, characterised in that it is provided with superimposed stiffeners; an upper stiffener 9 and a lower stiffener 8 housed either in a common sleeve or in superimposed sleeves 10 and 11, the purpose of this system of superimposed stiffeners being to obtain a straight wall of the swimming pool when the latter is full and to obtain an articulated wall 1 when the latter is empty, effectively it suffices, before starting the filling, to fold down the upper stiffener 9 over the lower stiffener 8 in order to form a barrier for the water so that the latter does not escape from the swimming pool at the start of the filling. <IMAGE>
